This season, we've been asking our Season Ticket holder what Reading FC means to them!
Peter Jones has been coming to watch the Royals since our time at Elm Park, first starting to watch Reading through taking his young sons to games along with his wife.
Peter added: "As we've got older and started moving away from Reading, the football club has become something of a focal point for us.
"My first game wasn't a thriller, it was a 0-0 against Rotherham at Elm Park. It was the season we went up, we won the old Second Division under Mark McGhee and we definitely wanted to come back!"
Will, one of Peter's sons, recalled his favourite memories of supporting the Royals: "There's so many to choose from but I'd have to say the two years between 2005 and 2007 were pretty incredible.
"It came in the time as I was just getting older and I was going to games with my mates and still with family, and to think little Reading was in the Premier League finishing 8th, it was incredible."
For submitting his entry to 'What Reading FC Means To Me,' we offered Peter and his family places in our Premier Suite as the Royals played in #Madejski500 on Saturday afternoon.
Sadly, the result wasn't the right one on the day for the Royals but we hope they enjoyed their time in Hospitality for a landmark game in the club's history. We look forward to welcoming the Jones family back to Madejski Stadium for years to come!
