Royals winger wants the squad to capitalise on important run...Reading wide-man Roy Beerens is expecting another tough meeting with the Terriers on Tuesday evening after a tight affair at Madejski Stadium earlier in the season.
The Royals came away 1-0 winners that afternoon thanks to a goal from Beerens, with Huddersfield going down to ten men in the first half.
“When we played them earlier in the season they gave us a tough time, admitted the Dutchman. “They had a red card and went down to ten men. We won earlier in the season but it will be different on Tuesday.
“For us it is better for us to play against teams like Huddersfield with the way they play football rather than some other teams in his league.
“The big games are coming up, we want to be stable and collect our points, not only against Huddersfield but also against Brighton and Newcastle.”
The Yorkshire club battled to a 0-0 draw at home to Premier League giants Manchester City on Saturday afternoon in the FA Cup. Beerens believes despite the extra minutes in the host’s legs, the Huddersfield team will be fit and ready come Tuesday night.
“Even though Huddersfield had a game at the weekend they will be there on Tuesday," said Beerens. “They are sharp like we are, it’s a big game, but we are prepared to beat them.
“It was good for us to have some time off over the weekend to relax and prepare our bodies for the game. It’s good at this time of the season to have that recovery time.”
