Midfielder named EFL Young Player of the Month for JanuaryReading midfielder John Swift has been rewarded for his performances in January by being handed the EFL’s Young Player of the Month award.
The 21-year-old netted three times for the Royals in four wins across the calendar month, and his contribution earned him the EFL-wide award.
But of course, the midfielder was keen to highlight the team effort that went into it. “Awards are nice but the whole team is the most important thing,” said Swift after being handed the award. “We are still up there and still pushing for promotion which is the aim.”
