Yann: “We have improved a lot since then”

14 February 2017

Striker previews Bees’ visit to Madejski Stadium

Yann Kermorgant’s late penalty at Griffin Park earlier in the season was scant consolation for the Royals, as it ended 4-1 in favour of the hosts.

But the Royals striker believes that the Bees will be coming up against a Reading side that has got the details right more often than not since then.

“Brentford are a good team, we know that,” Yann said.  “Tuesday is another home game and after a disappointing draw against Barnsley, we want to get a win against Brentford so that we go home happy.

“It’s a long time ago when we played them – we have improved a lot since then.  The team is getting better and better.

“I think we should be more confident this time.  It won’t be revenge for the game at Griffin Park – perhaps it’s more about getting revenge for not getting another two points out of Barnsley.

“We know this league is hard and that every team will make it difficult to get a win.  There will be more surprises to come, so we need to concentrate and keep going.  Tuesday is another game we’ll be trying to win.”
