Ali hoping to continue home comforts against Cardiff

Goalkeeper previews meeting with the Bluebirds

The Royals’ home record is amongst the best in the Championship – only Brighton and Leeds have collected more points in their own stadiums.

Ali Al-Habsi knows that the Royals will be facing a difficult opposition in Cardiff on Saturday – but he has confidence that the team can make it back-to-back victories against the Bluebirds.

“It’s going to be a difficult one – Cardiff’s team is very strong,” said the Royals stopper.  “They have been winning in recent weeks and they are in good form.

“We will have to be ready for it and show ourselves.  We have been fantastic this season at home – we’ve lost just two games.  Other than that we have been brilliant.

“You can see by how we finished the game against Fulham – the players were putting everything into it, more than 100%.  The way we celebrated the goal, the penalty save and after the game… it shows what the players want this season.

“We want to be there in the top six, and hopefully we can keep doing what we do.”
