Cardiff next… why would you miss it?!

25 January 2017

Back your side against the Bluebirds

Our match against Fulham had its share of drama.

Penalties at either end – one scored on the rebound for the Royals, the other kept out by Ali Al-Habsi at the death to preserve the points.

Some lung-busting runs and outrageous bits of skill, lightning-fast breaks and full-blooded tackles, a repertoire of songs for new boy Tiago Ilori – and that stunning strike from Garath McCleary which bounced down off the bar and just the wrong side of the line… the woodwork is still rattling!

You’ll be kicking yourself if you missed it.  So don’t run the risk this Saturday – make room for the Royals in your weekend and be here for our 3pm kick-off against Cardiff City!

A win over the Bluebirds would be our 10th victory in the Sky Bet Championship at Madejski Stadium this season.  Only league leaders Brighton have earned more points on their home turf.

Our game against Fulham was a performance and a result to savour for all those inside Madejski Stadium – most of which came for free after we opted to open our doors to all those that had attended the original fixture.

And there was a hugely positive atmosphere at the final whistle on Tuesday evening – but there’s still room for more supporters to come through the gate and to crank up the decibel-level.

The players are holding up their end of the bargain – we currently sit third in the table, with the half-way point of the campaign behind us.  So your support is needed to squeeze every extra bit of energy from the players on the pitch… with your backing, who knows what can be achieved?

As of Wednesday lunchtime, Cardiff have sold 1,700 tickets to the game – that’s a fair few noisy supporters travelling across from the Welsh capital to get behind Neil Warnock’s side.  But with home advantage on our side and the right kind of backing, hopefully we can make it another memorable Madejski Stadium matchday!

We proudly offer supporters some of the most competitive ticket prices in the Championship – all Adults can attend matches for as little as £20, while young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 can come from just £10.

If you’ve been bitten by the bug of Reading’s promising campaign so far, why not take advantage of our fantastic 4 Match Ticket Bundles – the cost effective and flexible way to see your team in action.  Click here for full price and redemption details for Bundles.
