The Royals host Norwich City on Saturday 30th September 2017 - and the Madejski Stadium encounter will now kick off at 5.30pm as one of Sky Sports' live broadcast fixtures.
The date hasn't changed - when the fixture schedule was announced last month we knew to expect the Canaries at the end of September.
However, this match will now kick-off at the later time of 5.30pm as opposed to the orinigal 3pm kick-off time.
Norwich, now under a new manager in Daniel Farke, last came to Madejski Stadium on Boxing Day last year - the Royals ran out 3-1 victors that afternoon thanks to goals from Yann Kermorgant, Garath McCleary and Callum Harriott.
The Canaries went on to end up in eighth place last season, finishing the season in fine form with a comprehensive win over the Royals at Carrow Road and only one defeat suffered in their last six Championship encounters.
Reading, meanwhile, enjoyed the spotlight of the TV cameras towards the end of 2016-17 - a Sky Sports audience watching us draw at Craven Cottage and then win at home against Fulham in a hotly contested two-legged play-off semi-final. Then, of course, all eyes focussed on our trip down Wembley Way to meet Huddersfield Town in the division's end of season showpiece.
All selections of EFL televised fixtures have now been made for games up to and including Sunday 1st October.
