Attacking midfielder Yakou Meite has completed paperwork which will see him spend a season-long loan spell at French side Sochaux.
Meite arrived in RG2 from Paris Saint Germain last July and made 1(+13) appearances for Jaap Stam’s side in his first season at Madejski Stadium.
He scored his only first team goal in our 3-2 defeat at Derby’s iPro Stadium back in January, but the 21-year-old fired four more in eight appearances for our Under-23s side in 2016-17.
Sochaux, now managed by new boss Peter Zeidler, finished in mid-table in Ligue 2 last season and our Ivory Coast youth international could make his debut against Bourg-en-Bresse later this month.
Everyone at Reading Football Club would like to wish Yakou the very best of luck for his season back in France.
