Both Jade Moore and Mandy Van Den Berg got off to victorious starts in the Women's European Championships in the last few days!
The Netherlands kicked off the tournament as host nation - in front of a record Dutch crowd of 21,732 spectators in Utrecht and an impressive 2.1 million viewers reportedly tuning in to watch the opener on TV.
And Van Den Berg, who signed for the Royals back in December 2016, captained her country to a valuable win over Norway.
Our Orange Lioness marshalled the Dutch defence and earned a clean sheet in a 1-0 win - Liverpool’s Shanice Van de Sanden’s second half strike was enough to see highly ranked Norwegians off.
Then, last night, attention turned to our England players as Jade Moore started in midfield against Scotland in Group D.
Moore played the full ninety minutes as Mark Sampson's side coasted to a comprehensive 6-0 win thanks to a Jodie Taylor hat-trick. Goals from Ellen White, Jordan Nobbs and Toni Duggan ensured it was a comfortable evening for England, who also named Jo Potter on the substitutes bench.
This evening, Van Den Berg is back in action in Rotterdam as a sell-out crowd watch her Holland side take on Group A leaders Denmark.
And our supporters can follow the fortunes of our England pair live on Channel 4, while Van den Berg's Holland will be broadcast by Eurosport 2 during these opening stages of the tournament.
