John Swift played the first 45 minutes in a 3-0 win over Iceland's Under-21s at the weekend as Aidy Boothroyd's England U21 side warmed up in a behind-closed-doors friendly.
And Royals Academy graduate Axel Andresson was part of the Iceland squad that helped England's Under 21s continue their preparations for this summer's Euro Finals at St George's Park on Saturday.
22 out of Boothroyd's 23-man squad for the tournament got a run out in the 3-0 win, Swift starting the game to play the first half of a game that proved ideal preparation for Poland 2017.
Swift started alongside the likes of Arsenal's Rob Holding, Leicester City's Demarai Gray and Southampton's Jack Stephens in the win.
19-year-old Andresson, meanwhile, started the game and held England at bay during a goalless opening 45 minutes. Two goals from Jacob Murphy (65, 83) and one from Tammy Abraham (77) eventually secured victory for the Young Lions.
The match was also used as an opportunity for both teams to take part in a penalty shoot-out after 90 minutes, which England won 7-6!
