Dave Edwards believes the Royals can still have a 'good week' with three points at Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night.
Following defeat against his former club, Wolves, Edwards hopes the Royals' fortunes can improve with a good result at the Macron Stadium in midweek, before Sheffield Wednesday are welcomed to Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
Tuesday's opponents may currently occupy a place in the bottom three as it stands, but the Wanderers go into the match unbeaten in their last six games.
Edwards is still optimistic for the upcoming fixtures, though, saying: "The good thing about the Championship is that we've got another game on Tuesday and again on Saturday, so we can turn this into a good week if we can go to Bolton and get the win.
"You see a lot of them and Bolton were on TV on Friday, I sat at home watching that. We'll do our analysis and we'll be well prepared for them.
"They've strung some results together recently and it'll be a tough ask, especially away from home. There are no easy games in the Championship, so we know we're going to have to be at our absolute best.
"I think if we can reproduce the same commitment and desire and the quality shown at times against Wolves, I'm sure we can go there and get a positive result."
