The Reading FC Deaf team will be competing in the first round of the South East Regional 11 v 11 FA Disability Cup this Saturday, which takes place at Arbour Park Stadium in Slough.
The Royals representatives are in search of a title defence – another victory in the competition would be their third in the tournament’s fourth year!
But nothing can be taken for granted – the competition gets stronger and more competitive year on year.
However the Royals’ team has taken on more members than ever before this year, and there will be some tournament debuts for younger players and new recruits.

And the team had a bit of extra inspiration when Royals skipper Paul McShane each visited the side’s training session recently!
Our Deaf team will be talking on DASH, Woking Wolves and Slough Town in a round-robin format – the top two teams will qualify for round two, after which follows the finals tournament in May 2018.
Best of luck to all involved!
