International Royals on duty once more...

Royals go away with their national teams

As we head into the third international break of the season, we have a host of Royals heading away with their national teams once more!

Paul McShane has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad that will face off against Denmark for a place at next year's World Cup in Russia.

McShane will hope to add to his 33 Ireland caps while away with the national team, with the two-legged encounter set to be a gripping affair and finishing at a sold-out Aviva Stadium next Tuesday night.

McShane, pictured with recently-retired former Royal, Kevin Doyle, was last capped for his country 18 months ago.

Chris Gunter is likely to close in even more on the Wales all-time appearance record as his country take on two international friendlies during the break. The full-back currently sits on 83 caps, nine away from Neville Southall's Welsh record.

Dave Edwards will hoping to add to his personal tally as he heads towards the 50 cap mark in the red of Wales, and he is also in Chris Coleman's squad for these upcoming friendlies.

Mo Barrow is set to pull on the Gambia shirt for his 7th cap with his country, for a set of friendlies in Morocco during the international break.

Last but not least, Anssi Jaakkola will be away with Finland as they take on Estonia in a friendly.

Three of our youngsters are also involved with their countries at lower age groups, with defender Axel Andresson continuing in Iceland's qualifying campaign for the U21 European Championships.

Meanwhile, young midfielder Jordan Holsgrove is set for a busy international schedule while with Scotland's U19s, being the only Royal with three matches to come in their U19 European Championship qualification campaign in this break.

Finally, Royals U18s midfielder Jack Nolan has followed in Danny Loader's recent footsteps with a call-up to England's U17 side!

The first-year scholar takes his place in the latest crop of Under-17s to take part in three high-profile friendlies ahead of England hosting the U17 Euros next summer.
