Leandro Bacuna says the Royals are motivated to leapfrog Tuesday night's opponents, Barnsley, with three points at Madejski Stadium.
The two teams are separated by just one goal in the table heading into the midweek clash in RG2, but Bacuna says the team will be refreshed and raring to go, after a quick turnaround from Saturday's match against Sheffield Wednesday.
Following the postponement of this match in September, it's a chance for the Royals to make up ground in the Championship table with only one other game taking place on Tuesday night.
Bacuna is hoping for all three points against the Yorkshire side, saying after the weekend's draw: "It's a game that got postponed before and if we can get the points we can climb up the table as well. We just have to go and be ready for the game.
"We have two days to get ready for that game, so we'll get the ice bath, get the legs going again and we'll be ready on Tuesday."
"We'll be working hard towards the game, some players will get some rest and others will be training hard. Everyone has their own preparation and we'll go hard into the game on Tuesday."
Kick-off on Tuesday night is at 8pm at Madejski Stadium against the Tykes as the Royals go in search of another set of three important points in the Championship.
