Earlier this season, we asked our Season Ticket Holders one simple question…What does Reading FC mean to me? And we received some insightful and heart-warming responses from a community of Royals fans who responded in their numbers!
So in a new feature in our matchday programme, ‘The Royal,’ and on readingfc.co.uk, we will publish a few of the answers which let us better understand some of the people who support this club’s every kick and the families who treat Madejski Stadium like their second home…
What does Reading FC mean to me?
“As my home town team it means a lot. I first went with my dad to Elm Park over 50 years ago and I met my husband at Elm Park…although he is a Sunderland supporter.
"After taking my children, I now take my 3-year-old grandson, Vinnie, who is extremely passionate about the team already! I love watching him getting very involved in the game. A lot of my life history is wrapped up in Reading Football Club.” - Patricia
We invited Patricia and her family into Hospitality ahead of our home fixture against Middlesbrough as a thank you for responding to our online survey! And we look forward to seeing them at Madejski Stadium for many more seasons to come!
Keep an eye out for more of our responses throughout the season as we find out what our club means to the people who live and breathe for the blue and white hoops!
