The Royals take on Cardiff City at the start of December and the match has been moved to kick-off at 8pm on Monday 11th December 2017 as one of Sky Sports' live broadcast fixtures.
The clash with the Bluebirds was due to take place at 3pm on Saturday 9th December, kick-off 3pm - but the fixture has been picked by Sky Sports as a game they would like to broadcast around the world, so prepare for a night under the lights at the Madejski before the end of 2017.
Cardiff have gone into this international break flying high at the very top of the Championship table with just one defeat to their name after the opening eleven games in division.
And it will be a fixture that brings Neil Warnock back to Madejski Stadium for a record 15th time - no manager has sat in the away team dugout more than the fiery Yorkshireman.
Historically, the teams can't be separated - in head-to-head meetings throughout the years, both teams have won 23 games with 20 draws to add to the record. Last season, however, the Royals won both home and away against City...Yann Kermorgant scored the winner in both victories.
And this match has certainly conjured up some lasting memories in recent years - Adam Federici's equaliser here nine years ago, two tense play-off semi-final legs against the Bluebirds and a last gast FA Cup win which would end up taking Reading to Wembley for a semi-final against Arsenal!
All selections of EFL televised fixtures have now been made for games up to and including Monday 11th December 2017, although selections for the weekend of 1st to the 3rd December are yet to be confirmed in the coming days.
In other fixtures announced in the lastest batch of live TV selections, Preston North End and Aston Villa go head-to-head on Wednesday 1st November at Deepdale, Sheffield Wednesday’s visit to Ipswich Town then follows the international break, just days before a double header which sees Barnsley host Yorkshire rivals Leeds United in a lunchtime kick-off on Saturday 25th November and Birmingham City visit Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United at 5.30pm.
The final match in November sees QPR host Brentford in a Monday night game on Monday 27th November and the final two fixtures currently confirmed for December pits Norwich City against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday 9th December and the Bluebirds travel down the M4 to take on Jaap Stam's Royals the following Monday.
