Apologies, this video is unvailable.

With back-to-back home games coming up against Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest, Reading boss Jaap Stam brought us the latest news on the availability of some of our key personnel.

Skipper Paul McShane and playmaker John Swift each returned from lay-offs by featuring from the bench at Bramall Lane last weekend, while forward pair Yann Kermorgant and Jón Daði Böðvarsson each missed out with their respective injuries.

The boss updates us on the latest with those four…

“McShane and Swift are doing well – they came in against Sheffield United and played in the second half from the bench.  They’re looking good and they’re available for the squad.

“Jón Daði is still out with an injury and he won’t be available for the squad.  We need to assess him and to see what he can do.

“And like everybody knows, Yann has been partially back in training.  He’s doing well.

“A lot of people are speaking about Yann and how we need him – of course he has been important for us, but we need to be careful with him as well.

“He needs his time to get back to full fitness and eventually, when he’s very fit, hopefully he can again make a difference.”
