Tiago Ilori says he and his Reading team-mates are raring to go for another victory on the road at Sheffield United this weekend.
Following on from last weekend's victory and clean sheet at Leeds United, a similarly high-flying Blades side are in the sights of the Royals this time around.
“At this point of the week, we’re ready," Ilori said. "Individually as well, we’re professionals, we watch football and know the teams we’re coming up against and a lot of the players, so it’s not something that we’re too worried about.
“To be honest most teams in this league have physical guys up front so it’s nothing new, but they’re all slightly different so you see a few clips, get to know them a little bit and go again."
With a couple of knocks in defence leading to a change of formation against Leeds, Ilori insists the team are well-drilled enough to cope with anything the manager asks of them.
“There haven’t been many changes to be honest, but we’ve played enough games together to understand the way we think and help each other out," he added.
After a break in rhythm that included a long run of Saturday-Tuesday fixtures, as well as an international break that allowed the squad to focus more on the training pitch, Ilori said it was worth getting back to basics with a longer gap between games.
“It gives us time to get some more training in because when we do have two games a week it’s mainly recovery all week. You do some training but it’s quite light.
“It’s quite refreshing to be able to do more training in the week!"
