Royals become ball girls at Wembley!

England youngsters get pitchside at national stadium

8 October 2017

Three young Royals Regional Talent Club players got the fantastic opportunity to be ball girls at Wembley Stadium, as England took on Slovenia on Thursday night.

Bethan Roberts, Emma Harries and Sophie Quirk all represent England in the youth system, and all three currently play for the Regional Talent Club's Under-16 side.

The players are all from Reading, and have represented the club for a number of years already, with hopes to progress into the Reading FC Women's first team in the future.

They got the opportunity to be pitchside as a star-studded England line-up took to the field, including the likes of Harry Kane, Joe Hart and former Royal, Ryan Bertrand.

The girls witnessed a nervy game for England supporters, with Kane's late winner securing World Cup qualification for the Three Lions on the night.

Having already had success with England at youth level, the young Royals will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of those before them and end up becoming Lionesses in the future!
