After a midweek cup clash, all eyes return to league action when we meet Hull City this weekend back on home soil.
Reading vs Hull City
Sky Bet Championship
Saturday 23rd September 2017, 3pm
There are a number of ex-Tigers in our side, ready to take on their former side – such as skipper Paul McShane, goalie Vito Mannone and recent arrival Sone Aluko.
And a Reading Academy graduate has been a regular for this weekend’s visitors… Michael Hector returns to Madejski Stadium in orange and black.
The Tigers have just a single point on the road this season – a draw on the opening day at Aston Villa – but we’ll have to be at it again to ensure the points stay in Berkshire.
Stephen Martin takes charge of a Royals fixture for the second time this season – the previous time coming at St Andrew’s, when Reading headed into the international weekend on a winning note with a 2-0 win at Birmingham’s expense.
John Flynn and Akil Howson will be running the lines as assistant referees, while Tom Nield completes the officiating quartet by manning the fourth official’s board.
There have been important changes in car parking and bus travel for the upcoming season, with parking at Madejski Stadium now having to be pre-booked online, as well as a continuation of our bus subsidies with Reading Buses. Click here for further information.
