The youngsters currently occupy the final play-off place in Division Two, with Newcastle United their opponents at Adams Park on Monday night.

Marshall’s squad go into their final pair of matches in the knowledge that a win will secure their place in the play-offs, and they’ll need your support to help them over the line!

It's a close race for the play-offs as it stands, with just three points separating the Royals in 5th and Wolves U23s in 9th - with the teams placed 2nd-5th in the table qualifying for the play-offs at the end of the season.

Blackburn are the current runaway leaders in the PL2, with Aston Villa almost mathematically secure for 2nd place as it stands. 

Marshall's side could yet catch Brighton and Hove Albion and Middlesbrough, who both currently sit three points ahead of the Royals.

If you watch the Royals' match against Newcastle on Monday night, you can get the inside track on the Royals of the future – with no less than six of the current squad having made their debuts at first team level this season.

The U23s will certainly be raring to go, with the interrupted schedule meaning this will be their first competitive match for almost a month.

Kick-off is at 7pm in Wycombe on Monday night, and we’ll have you covered with live updates via @ReadingFC on Twitter on the night.

The following week, the U23s will be finishing off the Premier League 2 campaign at home to 11th-placed Stoke City right here in RG2, under the lights at Madejski Stadium. Keep an eye out for updates closer to the time, and don’t forget to back the boys in Wycombe on Monday night!
