It's all over. Reading battled hard and played some good football but with ten men...and then was always going to be an uphill struggle.

Millwall take the points.

Five minutes of injury time to be played. Surely no way back for Jose Gomes' men, playing with two less players now.

Red card! Bacuna is dismissed for a tangle with Ferguson. Reading down to nine for the final few minutes.

Osho is on for Swift. Rinomhota is pushed back into an advanced midfield postion, having covered at right-back for much of the match.

McCleary has a go from the edge of the box. It ricochets around but bobbles behind for a goal kick.

Reading still pressing for an equaliser they deserve. Richards makes good progress down the left and he delivers a dangerous cross that Millwall scrap clear untidily.

Ferguson goes into the book for a late challenge on Barrow who had spun off him well in midfield.

O'Brien is on for the goalscorer, Jed Wallace.

Garath McCleary is on and Meite makes way.

WOODWORK! John Swift stands over a free kick 25 yards out.

He slams the ball goalwards and it beats a flailing Archer but cannons into the crossbar and bounces to safety. So close to 1-1.

CHANCE! Bacuna floats a nicely weighted ball over the top for Meite who is onside again.

From a tight angle he volleys, left-footed, but Cooper is back to charge it down and concede a corner.

Caution for Liam Moore as he wrestles Morison to the floor on half way.

A change. Sam Baldock comes on for Danny Loader.

Barrow flicks the ball on and Meite springs the offside trap. Cooper catches him and barges the Royals striker over before he can make inroads into the Millwall box. Goal kick.

Millwall make the first change. Steve Morison is on for Elliott

CLOSE! Richards does brilliantly to turn his man and thread a ball into path of Barrow who shrugs off a loose Millwall arm to burst into the box.

He crosses the ball into the near post where Cooper does enough to bundle the ball behind for a corner under pressure from Meite.

A good spell for the Royals ends with Rinomhota crossing low into the near post.

Barrow gets a toe to it but it deflects high and wide for a corner.

Gregory is shown a yellow card for clipping heels of Bacuna.

Ryan Leonard connects sweetly with a first time effort that falls to him following a clearance.

Jaakkola scampers across his line to see it arrow just wide of the right upright.

Loader takes aim from outside the box but it's easy for Archer to gather into his body.

Mahlon Romeo pushes Jaakkola over after the Finn had bravely dived in to claim a ball at the Millwall man's feet.

No action from the referee though who trots across to have a word with Romeo.

The second half kicks off an Millwall nearly work a good chance. Elliott feeds Wallace who spins and stabs a half-hearted effort into the side netting.

HT: Millwall 1-0 Reading

Jed Wallace's set piece separates the sides at the interval, but the Royals have shown signs of promise despite playing with 10 men since Tyler Blackett's dismissal.

2 minutes of injury time is to be played...

Yellow card for Tom Elliott who slides in rashly to scythe down Moore on the byline as the Royals skipper shepherds the ball out for a goal kick.

Only a yellow for the Millwall man though.

Meite runs in behind Cooper and forces the former Royal to hastily clear it behind for a corner.

But as soon as Bacuna delivers the set piece into the box, the referee blows his whistle for a foul in a congested Millwall area.

Better from 10 man Reading. Meite is bundled over 30 yards out and wins a free kick.

Bacuna's floated delivery is easily headed clear though.

Andy Rinomhota wins a free kick on the corner of the Millwall area.

Meite and Bacuna stand over it, but Meite strikes it low against the Millwall wall.

John Swift has a pop from 25 yards out but Jordan Archer is down well, low to his right to save it comfortably.

Reading struggling to come to terms with their numerical disadvantage. Omar Richards has to clear a scrappy effort off the line as the home side continue to threaten when the ball is delivered aerially into the box.

RED CARD! And it gets worse for the visitors. Tyler Blackett is sent off for a late challenge on Wallace.

GOAL! Jed Wallace arcs a set piece around the Royals wall and beyond the dive of Anssi Jaakkola. The ball nestles inside the right post and Millwall lead.

Some nice passing in the final third from the Royals sees the ball ping out to Barrow, who is operating on the right side.

His low cross is cut out though and Rinomhota is penalised for a mis-timed challenge to hand the Lions a free kick.

The hosts have begun the better, putting Reading under pressure high up the pitch - and not afraid to put a challenge or two in.

Jaakkola has to hurry a clearance as Lee Gregory slides in to try and force the Finn into a mistake.
