FULL TIME | QPR 0-0 Reading

The Royals fans stand to applaud their team at the end of a game which saw Reading dominate possession and play some fabulous attacking football. But the game ends goalless and the spoils are shared.

93’

...Reading clear and break through Barrow. He feeds Loader to his right and he takes aim from 22 yards out.

But Lumley saves at full stretch to his left and pushes it wide for a corner!

93’

Scowen is replaced by the towering Matt Smith as QPR prepare a corner.

91’

Four additional minutes are signalled.

90’

Ilias Chair is on for Eze meanwhile for the hosts.

90’

Josh Sims is coming on for McCleary in the final minute of the 90.

86’

Both sides trying to win this one. Wells glances a difficult header wide under pressure from O'Shea.

83’

Back up the other end as Rinomhota runs the ball out from the back. He gets the ball back from Siwft on the left and crosses but Leistner is there to head it behind for a corner.

82’

Double sub. Aluko and Meite make way for Loader and Bodvarsson.

81’

CROSSBAR! QPR come so close to a winner as another cleared cross drops to a hooped shirt. Leistner's drilled effort takes a deflection and bounces up off the turf and against the Royals' crossbar.

79’

WHAT A SAVE! Freeman produced a spectacular volley from nothing and Jaakkola hurls himself to his right to push it wide.

76’

A long throw is headed clear by O'Shea but it drops for Bidwell who volleys it goalwards. It comes off Yiadom and spins wide for a corner.

71’

70 Furlong is booked for dragging Barrow back.

70’

CHANCE! QPR work a corner well and Freeman fizzes it in low to Wells who shoots first time on the turn. It flies over the bar though.

69’

O'Shea is late to a challenge in midfield and is penalised with a yellow card.

68’

SAVE! Jaakkola is off his line to thwart Wszolek as he raced onto a throughball and scampered through on goal.

63’

Swift is booked for colliding with a QPR player after he lost the ball inside the opponents' box.

61’

QPR getting a few chances all of a sudden. Wells latches onto a misplaced header back to the keeper but slices a difficult effort high and wide of the goal.

59’

A huge shout for a penalty from the Loftus Road faithful but Andy Rinomhota gets a toe to it just ahead of the felled Wells and the referee awards a corner.

54’

SAVE! Richards is in behind the Rangers defence now down the left and he pulls the trigger.#

Lumley is off his line to block it with his chest! Still goalless.

53’

CHANCE! A lovely interchange between Yiadom and Aluko sees the former slide a pass into Meite.

His first touch is too heavy though and although he closes down Lumley's hurried clearance it comes to no avail.

53’

Scowen is cautioned now for a late challenge on Rinomhota in midfield.

50’

Half a chance there. McCleary brilliantly touches the ball around a sliding defender and darts towards the byline down the right. He pulls a low cross back to Meite who misses his kick in trying to hit the target.

49’

CLOSE! Inches!

Swift takes the free kick and it beats the wall and the keeper who watches as it skims top of the roof of the net on its way over the bar.

48’

Jordan Cousins is booked for a barge into Aluko who was scuttling towards the edge of the QPR area. Free kick.

16:08

We're underway in the second half after a long delay waiting for QPR to reemerge.

HALF TIME | QPR 0-0 Reading

A very accomplished passing performance from the visitors which has seen us carve out a host of chances, but despite the Royals' considerable dominance, the game remains goalless.

41’

Freeman finds a ball through for Wells to run onto and he controls it near the byline. His stabbed cross is smothered by Jaakkola though.

39’

SAVE! Swift's deep outswinging corner is met by Meite at the back post and his downward header is shovelled off the line by Lumley.

36’

Leistner is back doing important business at the other end moments later, sliding in to cut out a low Barrow cross that was looking for Meite in the middle.

35’

WOODWORK! QPR win a corner, although Richards is confident it came off Wszolek last.

It is swung into a crowded box, Ilori's clearance lands at the feet of Leistner who slams it against the Reading crossbar!

33’

ANOTHER CHANCE! Again McCleary is instrumental but it is Swift whose shot is charged down.

He latches onto the rebound and tries to dink it first time over the onrishing Lumley but it sails over the bar.

32’

CHANCE! McCleary now making some progress down the right and he finds Meite with a low cross into the middle.

Meite takes aim on the turn but it sails wide of the left upright.

29’

A floated cross from the left is headed back across goal by a stretching Wells, but Jaakkola plucks it out of the sky with relative ease and triggers a counter attack.

Reading have numbers flying forward but Meite is cynically dragged to the ground and the break comes to a halt, althoug not with a free kick but to allow the Royals forward to get some treatment.

27’

Barrow lead a counter attack down the left and he fizzes a low cross into the centre where Aluko and Meite have kept up.

But a sliding challenge from a hooped shirt cleart the ball out for a corner before it can reach either.

21’

BACKPASS? No?

Yiadom is found by a lovely throughball down the right but Bidwell steps across to pass it back to Joe Lumley who gets down to gather it in. Reading appeal for a back pass but nothing is given by the referee?

16’

CHANCE! And a good one.

Superb passing from the Royals sees Barrow race in behind the Rangers back line and reach the byline. He cuts the ball low towards the near post and Meite scraps for the decisive touch. QPR eventually hack it clear. Reading are by far the better team so far.

11’

CHANCE! A crossfield ball from Swift is won by Yiadom in the air and McCleary picks up the loose ball.

He beats his man and gets in behind but instead of pulling the trigger he tries to pass it inside for Meite who doesn't read it and the opportunity fizzles out.

4’

CHANCE! A lovely passing excahnge on the left ends with Richards bursting into the Rangers box.

He dummies and takes the ball past Leistner to edge towards the byline and stays on his feet when it seemed he could have gone to ground. He can't catch the ball before it goes behind for a goal kick.

3’

A good patient start from the Royals.

Swift takes aim from 25 yards out but his low drive is deflected out for a throw in.
