FULL-TIME | Reading 0-2 Sheffield United

Two late goals give the Blades the points this evening in RG2.

Three added minutes at the end of the game.  A stoppage at the moment as Yiadom and United goalie Henderson collide in the Blades box and briefly need treatment.

Goal - a second for the Blades.  A corner from the right is headed in by O'Connell - takes a deflection on the way but doubles the visitors' lead late on.

Final Reading sub - Sone Aluko replaces Garath McCleary for the final five minutes.

Goal - the Blades take the lead through Billy Sharp.

A cross from the right byline by Basham deflects with fizz across the six-yard box - McGoldrick misses it but Sharp converts on the far side. 1-0 to the visitors.

Danny Loader gets a yellow card as he knocks Oli Norwood off the ball on the Blades' right.  Free-kick coming from wide.

End-to-end - Loader chips in to Baldock but he's blocked out as he shoots, and then when Bacuna has one blocked too, the Blades break.  Sharp shifts onto his left and his deflected strike is palmed wide by Jaakkola.

Still 0-0 as we approach the closing stages of the game.

Blades sub Billy Sharp goes close - his header shaves the post and brushes the side netting.

Fleck's delivery with his left boot found the striker on the run and he's close to making it count.

An effort for the visitors, but Jaakkola saves well... George Baldock's cross as he gets up from right-back is onto the head of McGoldrick but the striker diverts straight at the Reading stopper.

Garath McCleary holding off a challenge.

The winger has switched over to the right, sub Barrow has taken up the role on the left flank.

Double sub for the Royals.  Off come Marc McNulty and Josh Sims, and on come Mo Barrow and Sam Baldock.  Straight swaps on the wing and up front.

A second Sheffield United change - former Reading striker Billy Sharp comes on, replacing Conor Washington.

Some neat play on the right for the Blades as the Royals get back in numbers to defend.  That leaves Fleck free on the edge of the area but he's well off target when he shifts onto his left foot.

Neither goalkeeper troubled so far since the break.  Rinomhota steps into defence and makes a decisive challenge as the visitors threaten to break.

Headed off the line by Gunter!  McGoldrick's shot saved, and the recycled ball was heading in but for the Welshman's intervention.

The Blades made a half-time switch - Lundstram off, replaced by Mark Duffy.

Second half underway on a wet day at Madejski Stadium!  0-0 as we restart.

HALF-TIME | Reading 0-0 Sheffield United

Royals with most of the play, although the Blades have twice had goals (rightly) ruled out for offside.

45 more to come!

Bacuna picks up in midfield and, as he has done all game, tries to inject a bit of pace into the attack.  He skips around a challenge and offloads to Sims, but the winger's effort is wild and never in danger of troubling Henderson.

Bacuna's corner is played to the edge of the area, where McNulty was peeling off - he strikes a volley first time and makes good contact but it's cleared in a crowded area.  Still no goals to report.

For the second time, Sheffield United have the ball in the net but it's the same result - the offside flag rules it out.  George Baldock's low cross was flicked in by David McGoldrick but the assistant had his flag raised.

A real let-off for Norwood, who plays a blind pass back to his goalkeeper, not realising that McNulty was beyond the Blades defence.  It's played with some pace and it doesn't quite stick for the Scottish striker.

McCleary's quick feet and a turn of pace see him dart into the box from the inside left position - a low cross is cleared.

The Blades look to break but Rinomhota tracks his runner and makes sure Reading win the ball back.

Yellow card - John Fleck.  The Blades man scythes down Andy Rinomhota on the right flank and the ref has to dip into his pocket for the first time.

Now it's Reading with a chance to make something happen from a set-piece.  Danny Loader is knocked to the ground by Norwood, and Leandro Bacuna has a chance to deliver from deep.

McNulty isn't picked up and the midfielder looks for his run, but it's a tad overhit and then hacked away with a recovery challenge.

Danny Loader playing a withdrawn striker role - his third straight side for the senior side.

Direct ball forward for McGoldrick brings another good chance for the visitors.  Ilori is on his heels and he tries to chip over Jaakkola as the goalkeeper advanced off his line, but didn't get any power on it and it's straight into the big Finn's gloves.

The Blades have the ball in the net... it won't count!

John Fleck's corner is glanced on by John Egan, and turned in on the far side by Conor Washington... the offside flag is up!

Free-kick by former Royal Oli Norwood... but it's comfortably over Anssi Jaakkola's bar and lands high in the Eamonn Dolan Stand.  No goals yet.

Defending to do for the Royals as Rinomhota concedes a free-kick just outside the area, right of centre.  A heavy touch initially meant that he had to try and make the recovery tackle.  Shooting chance.

Gunter pops in a great delivery from the left, which McNulty attacks on the edge of the six-yard box - good defensive header keeps things level though.

Lively start from the Royals.  A couple of testing crosses into the danger area - and Yiadom's delivery, half-cleared, falls to left-back Gunter who strikes over the bar.

Marc McNulty takes the kick-off - away we go!

We're shooting towards the South Stand this half.
