FULL TIME | Reading 2-2 Stoke City

Mo Barrow's late equaliser earns a point for the Royals here at Madejski Stadium in an enthralling match!

There's the equaliser! Yiadom drives forward and finds the pass into Méïté in the area, who slides across to Mo Barrow to slot past the keeper and score his first of the season - and what a time to get it!

Stoke are throwing men behind the ball as they hold onto the lead here at Madejski Stadium, two minutes of added time remain.

Great chance!

Andy Rinomhota plays an incisive ball through the Stoke defence with Méïté running onto it. The Ivorian gets there first but Butland makes a crucial save.

Stoke make their final change, with Sam Clucas making way for Ashley Williams.

McCleary swings in a free-kick from a wide area for the Royals, Tiago Ilori gets up to head it but he can't apply the right direction and it sails over the bar.

Another good ball into the area from the Royals, but to no avail.

Andy Rinomhota spread the play to Andy Yiadom, who crosses low into a dangerous area but Butland claims the loose ball.

A substitution for Stoke, as experienced midfielder Darren Fletcher enters the field for James McClean.

Méïté does well to chest down a long ball before heading towards the box, he crosses low for the advancing Baldock but he can't apply the crucial touch.

Stoke are trying to keep hold of the ball and take every possible second over throw-ins, with Gary Rowett's side a goal up against the Royals heading into the closing stages.

Good save, Anssi Jaakkola!

Afobe gets to the byline and squares back for Allen to shoot, but the Finn does well to get across and parry away from danger.

The fight goes on to get back on terms at Madejski Stadium, with Ince's strike putting Stoke in front for the first time in the game.

15 to go.

A brand new strikeforce comes on for the Royals, rolling the dice as Yakou Méïté and Sam Baldock come on for Loader and goalscorer McNulty.

Stoke take the lead through Tom Ince, who strikes on the turn in the area and it goes in off the bar.

Good work from the Royals going forward, holding possession well while they looked for an opening.

Loader laid off Bacuna to strike, whose strike was deflected back towards Butland.

Stoke make a change of their own, as Erik Pieters comes off injured - he's replaced by Tom Edwards.

First substitution of the day for the Royals, as Mo Barrow comes on to replace John Swift.

Into the final half-hour here at Madejski Stadium, the teams locked at one goal apiece as it stands.

An off-the-ball incident betwen Yiadom and McClean sparks a scuffle between the players, but the referee calms the situation down before cautioning the Stoke winger.

The Royals are under the cosh at the moment.

The ball breaks on the 18 yard line and Joe Allen sprints in and shoots - inches wide of the post.

Stoke nab the ball after a short goal kick and Afobe forces a corner with a last-ditch block from Blackett.

Erik Pieters bursts forward for Stoke from the back with Tom Ince in possession 25 yards out.

He receives it from his team-mate and forces Jaakkola into a smart save with a powerful strike from range.

McCleary does superbly to work his way into the box from the left wing, Chris Gunter is there on the overlap - the winger tries to cut to the full-back in the box, but they get their wires crossed and Stoke clear.

Afobe slots in from 12 yards to equalise for the visitors early in the second half. He latches onto a long ball from Clucas to score against his former club.

And we're off!

The Royals hold a one-goal lead heading into the second period, shooting towards the Eamonn Dolan Stand this half.

HALF TIME | Reading 1-0 Stoke City

Marc McNulty's header late in the first period separates the teams at the interval!

Almost the equaliser for the visitors, with McClean crossing in for Afobe six yards out.

He goes down under Blackett's challenge, his header goes wide and the referee waves away penalty appeals from those in red and white.

Rinomhota breaks on the right and takes it past his marker brilliantly, his cross is deflected and Marc McNulty is there to nod in his first Reading goal!

1-0 Reading!

A Royals corner breaks down and Stoke break at speed.

Allen feeds in McClean advancing on goal, he's shown wide and cuts his effort past the post.

Bacuna brings down his marker in midfield, Stoke break and McClean shoots across goal, but the referee calls the Royal over and he gets his name taken.

Swift lifts the ball over the top of the defence and McNulty brings it down well, tries to cut inside his marker but Butland manages to clear for Stoke.

It has been a tight tactical battle here at Madejski Stadium so far, neither side able to find the breakthrough yet.

Bit of a lull in play here as the teams cancel each other out defensively, still goalless as it stands here in RG2.

Good effort from Loader!

He receives it from Bacuna in midfield, keeps his run going past two defenders and shoots just wide on his weaker left foot...

Swift dances in between two Stoke players 20 yards out and manages to get a shot away.

He's scored from that range before, but this effort dipped past the upright.

Neat interplay on the edge of the box from Stoke sees Ince get a shot away from 18 yards, comfortably held by Jaakkola in the Reading goal.

Tyler Blackett gets hold of it in midfield, spreading a superb ball to Yiadom on the right, who touches and crosses - a bit too deep for a Reading player and the Potters clear their lines.

The Royals find joy again on the right with Loader feeding in Yiadom near the corner flag.

The full-back crosses to the edge of the area, Gunter chests down for Swift to shoot - but it's deflected back safely towards Butland.

A golden chance goes begging for Stoke.

They spread the play wide with Tom Ince making tracks towards the area. He crosses for Afobe - Jaakkola makes a point-blank save and Clucas blazes the rebound over the bar.

Garath McCleary is held off by Sam Clucas on the right flank and the referee awards a free-kick.

Stand-in captain Bacuna swings in the delivery, and Swift's glancing header is blocked.

Stoke looking to cut the Royals defence with a succession of through-balls from midfield, but Afobe is flagged offside on both occasions with Reading keeping a high line.

Very good chance for the visitors.

Sam Clucas floats a ball to the far post and Joe Allen controls expertly, before lifting towards Benik Afobe - who heads harmlessly wide in a let-off for the Royals.

An early sighter for John Swift, but he gets under his left-footed effort on the bounce and fires over the bar.

It was Bacuna's corner that was only half-cleared before his chance.
