The FA Women's Super League winner Chambers led Reading to victories over Bristol City, Brighton and Hove Albion and Everton in November to earn her first Manager of the Month award of the season.

On receiving her trophy from Thomas Lyte, Chambers said: “It is a real honour to receive this award. It’s definitely not credit just to myself, my team, the players and staff have had a massive input into our achievements over November."

The panel for these monthly awards comprises four highly experienced individuals with specialist knowledge of the women’s game and football management, including Marieanne Spacey-Cale (LMA Member and Southampton FC Head of Girls and Women’s Football/Head Coach), Alex Scott (Ex-England International and football broadcaster), Jen O’Neill (Editor of She Kicks - women's football magazine) and Alan Curbishley (LMA Board Member and LMA Manager of the Year 1999/2000).

Chair of the League Managers Association panel Marieanne Spacey-Cale said: “In The FA Women's Super League, Kelly’s Reading side put some clear daylight between the teams below them with a perfect month in November.

"Taking nine points from three games meant they jumped two places into fourth and Kelly will be challenging her team to maintain this form into the second half of the WSL season.”

Each winning manager will receive a crystal trophy courtesy of Thomas Lyte, appointed a Royal Warrant as goldsmiths and silversmiths to Her Majesty the Queen.
