Marc McNulty, scorer of our first goal in a 2-2 draw with Stoke City last weekend, knows that the Royals have another tough challenge ahead when Sheffield United visit this weekend.
“There’s been a bit of change at the club – but it’s a case of knuckling down for a big game on Saturday, and hopefully getting three points,” NcNulty said.
“We did really well in the first half last weekend and I think we deserved a point out of the game.
“It was disappointing to lose two goals after half-time, but to score late meant that it was a good point.”
The Scottish forward knows the Blades well – he spent three years on the books at Bramall Lane, netting 14 goals in 56 appearances.
“I’m really looking forward to the game – I was at Sheffield United for a couple of years and it was great,” he continued.
“I didn’t play as much as I’d like but that can happen in football. I loved my time there – it’s a great club with a great fanbase so I’m looking forward to the game.
“One the season when they got promoted from League One to the Championship, Chris Wilder had come in and had a new way of playing that took the league by storm. They’ve done that again in the Championship.
“So it’ll be an exciting game. I can imagine that it’d be a bit end-to-end and open, but it’s one I’m looking forward to. We need to come up a way to upset them.”
