Reading defender Tiago Ilori reflected on a stalemate at the City Ground – a point to add to the tally, although a little disappointment that Omar Richards’ first-half goal was only worth a sole point owing to Lee Tomlin’s equaliser after the break.
“It was a tough game,” said Tiago. “We started well, and we managed the game well in the first half and had a few chances. But we also know what we needed to do in the second half and we didn’t manage quite as well.
“It’s obviously disappointing to get a draw after being ahead for so long. But it’s a point that we needed.
“We need to kick on now against Derby on Saturday, we want to get as many points as we can and we’re going to go for the win in every game.
“We know that we can beat any team in the league on our day, so we need to work hard with a gameplan and stick together, and we’ll come out with points.”
The Royals are back to action this weekend against the Rams, who are performing well in the Championship… make sure you’re here at Madejski Stadium to get behind the team!
