Bottom-of-the-table Burton are the next opponents for the Royals, but victory for the home side could see them climb out of the bottom three in the Championship table.

Nigel Clough's side have recently secured the signature of former England, Aston Villa and Sunderland striker Darren Bent on loan until the end of the season, and he could make his Brewers debut on Tuesday evening.

Likewise, new Royals recruit Tommy Elphick could make his first appearance in the hooped shirt after signing on loan from Villa on Monday.

Three points for the Royals would be welcomed in RG2, with the Brewers sat just five points behind Reading in the league standings heading into Tuesday's match.

Sam Smith made his return to the squad at Hillsborough on Friday night, and he is in contention to be in the squad once more as he continues his recovery from injury.

Travelling supporters will be able to buy tickets on the evening of the game on arrival from the Ticket Office, paying in cash or by card, with Adult tickets available from £20.

EFL title sponsors Sky Bet have made the Royals 8/5 favourites for the match tonight, with hosts Burton Albion out at 15/8, with the draw available at 21/10.

Dave Edwards is available at 9/1 to be first goalscorer on Tuesday night, while Sam Smith is priced at 5/2 to net any time at the Pirelli.

Robert Jones will be overseeing proceedings at the Pirelli on Tuesday night, and it'll be the first time he has been in charge of either side this season.

He has brandished the red card six times in his 28 matches so far this term, and has averaged around 2.5 cautions per match.

Jones will be assisted on the night by Mark Russell and Adam Matthews, with Andy Woolmer on hand as fourth official.
