A preview of our midweek meeting with the Boro

Tuesday night marks the return of FA Cup football to Madejski Stadium – the first time we’ve hosted a game in this competition since meeting Crystal Palace in the quarter-final, almost two years ago.

Jaap intent on cup progression

Reading vs Stevenage
Tuesday 16th January 2018, 8pm

Emirates FA Cup, third round replay

Our replay against Stevenage – who we drew 0-0 with at Broadhall Way – will see the winners earn a visit to either Carlisle or Sheffield Wednesday, depending on who wins their replay.

And it’s more affordable football at the Madejski – just £10 for Adult tickets, with concessions available too.  All supporters - including Season Ticket holders - will need to book before 5pm on matchday to take advantage of advance prices.

So come along and get behind the boys, and let’s begin a cup run!

Fixture permutations for FA Cup scenarios

12 January 2018

The Royals are 8/15 favourites to win in 90 minutes with EFL title sponsors Sky Bet, while visiting Stevenage are 5/1 to win in normal time.  They have 16/5 available for the tie to go to extra time.

Our leading goalscorer Mo Barrow is 7/2 to net the first goal of the game, while Liam Kelly is 9/1 to notch first.

Tim Robinson is the man in the middle; it’s his second trip to Madejski Stadium of the season.  The ref was on duty here when we were defeated 2-1 by Norwich, and sent off Marley Watkins for the visitors late on.

Daniel Leach and Anthony Da Costa are his assistants, while Keith Stroud takes up the position of fourth official.
