Preview | Women in Cup semi-final this weekend!

Continental Cup last four awaits Royals

11 January 2018

Reading FC Women take to the pitch in the Continental Cup this weekend, in the first time they have ever reached the last four of the competition.

Arsenal are the opponents on Sunday afternoon, whom the Royals have already beaten in WSL1 action this season, but it all starts again when the whistle blows on Sunday.

The Royals will be hoping to get straight back to winning ways, after unfortunately having their nine-match unbeaten run ended by Manchester City last weekend.

Supporters may remember the last encounter against Arsenal for a clip that has since gone viral, of Fara Williams scoring against her former club from the half-way line!

This semi-final comes off the back of three Royals being selected for an upcoming England training camp in Spain, as well as a Royal quartet being chosen for the upcoming Wales training camp as well.

Melissa Fletcher, Rachel Rowe and new signing Tash Harding have all been chosen for that camp, along with Charlie Estcourt, who is currently out on loan at Bristol City.

Harding made her debut off the bench last time out against Manchester City, and she will be pushing to make her first start in a Reading shirt, after her move from Liverpool last week.

It's sure to be a fantastic occasion at Adams Park in this massive game for the Royals, and tickets cost just £6 for Adults, £3 Concessions and a family ticket of two adults, two children is just £15!

Kick-off is at 2pm at Adams Park on Sunday 14th January, and you can buy tickets here.
