Women out for WSL revenge against Arsenal on Sunday

Three points up for grabs this weekend at Adams Park

25 January 2018

Reading FC Women host Arsenal on Sunday, making it successive meetings with the Gunners… and they’ll be out for revenge!

It was Arsenal who snatched a late turnaround victory at Adams Park last time out in the semi-final of the Continental Cup; a heartbreaking end to an incredible cup run for the Royals Women.

Reading had a perfect record in the competition, which included a win away at Arsenal in the group stage… Fara Williams, formerly a Gunner, netted the winner from kick-off!

And in the knock-out fixture, the Royals had led until late in the game, until quickfire goals made it 3-2 to the London side – they’ll meet Man City to contest the title.

So now all of our energy can be concentrated on making a fist of it in WSL1, and three points this weekend would allow us to leapfrog Arsenal in the league standings.

It’s a 2pm kick-off this Sunday at Adams Park – tickets are available in advance for £6 adults, £3 concessions and £15 for families (2 adults and 2 concessions).  For full ticketing information about Reading FC Women games, click here.
