It wasn't the main football focus of the day but before England's triumph over Sweden, the Royals were preparing in searing heat against League One opposition in AFC Wimbledon.
Reading were defeated, but Sam Smith and Adrian Popa found the back of the net and 22 players got another 45 minutes of hard graft under their belts.
