Reading Football Club can announce that Dutch defensive midfielder Danzell Gravenberch has agreed to spend the 2018-19 season in Belgium, returning to KSV Roeselare for a second successive campaign on season-long loan terms.
Gravenberch signed for the Royals from Dutch side FC Dordrecht two years ago, but has made just 1(+4) appearances for the Royals, starting his only first team game in our 2016-17 EFL Cup win over MK Dons.
The 24-year-old was again troubled with injury last season, hindering the impact he could make during his time on loan with the Belgian First Division B side. But he came off the bench at half-time on Friday to help his side secure a 1-1 draw in a pre-season friendly against Anderlecht, last season’s top tier runners-up in Belgium.
Gravenberch will now hope to impress in the Flemish province of West Flanders; Roeselare begin their league campaign at KVC Westerlo on Saturday 4th August.
Everyone at Reading Football Club would like to wish Danzell the very best of luck ahead of his second season in Belgium.
