In recent weeks, the Reading FC Community Trust and Kingsley have visited some of our Primary Stars Partnership schools, meeting children and teachers to celebrate the success of this academic year and to say 'thank you' for their support.

Throughout the academic year, our Primary Stars Mentors have supported over 40 teachers in their PE delivery, developing subject knowledge and confidence.

In addition to PE lessons, the Mentors have worked in the classroom to assist with the delivery of English and Maths.

Working in over 15 classes, supporting children in a small group or on a one-to-one basis to improve their engagement in reading, their confidence to tackle calculations or confidence with their writing.

Alongside supporting teachers at schools, the Community Trust have hosted football tournaments and educational visits, seeing over 2000 children. Enabling children to have a unique behind-the-scenes experience at Madejski Stadium, write their very own match commentary and learn about healthy eating.

We would like to thank all our Primary Stars Partnership schools for their continued support of the programme and we look forward to working with more schools next academic year.

If your school is interested in getting involved, you can find more information at https://plprimarystars.com/ or email Chris Knott (Schools Co-ordinator) on cknott@readingfc.co.uk.
