Paul Clement says he is happy with how the Royals' pre-season schedule is shaping up, with a set of fixtures that will get his side in good shape for the start of the Championship campaign.
With four friendlies already announced, the club hopes to be in a position to announce two further planned fixtures in the coming days - for when the squad is on pre-season tour in Austria in July.
The Royals go straight into their first friendly at the weekend, after just five days of intense training at Hogwood.
"I'm really happy with the programme we've got in place for pre-season," Clement said. "Eastleigh are a National League side so, straight away, it's a tough test with only five days of training before we play, so that's good.
"Followed by AFC Wimbledon and then Fulham, who are newly promoted. I think in those three games we've got a step up in test each week.
"We've got two really nice fixtures in Austria which haven't been announced yet, but you'll know very shortly - and they are two excellent ties against foreign opposition.
"Last game of pre-season at home at the Madejski against another Premier League side in Crystal Palace.
"I think when you see the two games that are going to be played in Austria, you'll see that it's going to be a really good pre-season games programme."
