Jón Daði Böðvarsson and Iceland finalised their World Cup preparations with a friendly against Ghana on Thursday night, with Böðvarsson facing off against new signing, Andy Yiadom!
The Royals' striker won his 37th cap for his country after coming on as a second half substitute to gain more valuable minutes before the World Cup gets underway next week - as the teams played out a 2-2 draw in Reykjavik.
He will be hoping to be in the starting line-up that will take on one of the pre-tournament favourites, Argentina, in Moscow on Saturday 16th June.
Conversely, full-back Yiadom won his fourth cap for the Black Stars and played the whole 90 minutes as Ghana fought from two goals behind to snatch a late draw.
Iceland were 2-0 up at the break following strikes from Kari Arnason and Alfred Finnbogason, before Ghana fought back late in the second half to level proceedings on the night.
Böðvarsson and Iceland now have just one week to prepare for their first ever appearance on football's biggest stage, and we'll be following Jón Daði every step of the way over in Russia!
