Jaap Stam says the Royals will be going for all three points as they get ready to take on league leaders Wolves on Tuesday night.
The Championship's table-toppers will be hoping to bounce back following a hefty 4-1 defeat against local rivals, Aston Villa, at the weekend, while the Royals took a point against Leeds United at Madejski Stadium.
Former Wolves players Dave Edwards and Jón Daði Böðvarsson could also be lining up against their former side at Molineux in midweek.
On the challenge facing the Royals, Stam said: "It's a big game against a very good side. When you play against a side like that, it doesn't mean you won't have the opportunities, chances or the ability to play over there.
"We've played them over here, we know they're a very good side with very good individual players.
"If we do well and show the same commitment we have been in the last couple of games, with the ability we have, we can make it very difficult for them and I'm sure we can get a result."
"Every game you go in to, you need to be aware of certain things in how they can play but still, we're going to be trying to do our best and I'm confident that if we can play and do our stuff, we can get a result over there.
"Everybody wants the three points to make that gap even bigger, that's what we try to do. We could have done it against Leeds as well but we always need to look at ourselves and not what the teams below us are doing."
