England’s Under-18s posted a perfect record in three friendly fixtures over the international break – and Royals forward Danny Loader was once again involved for his country.
Under-18 squads from Qatar, Argentina and Belarus were each felled by their English counterparts in a trio of friendly fixtures at St George’s Park and the young Englishmen continued their fine form on the international stage.
The fixtures represented this age-group’s first get-together since they won the Under-17 World Cup last October, and Neil Dewsnip’s star-studded side – featuring players from some of the top academies in the country – found a way past each of their three opponents.
Loader watched on as an unused sub against Qatar as the Young Lions racked up a 4-0 win, but he was involved for the whole 90 minutes against a mixed-age Argentina side and played a key role as England turned the game around to win 2-1!
And against Belarus, Loader again played the full 90 as England's youngsters emerged 2-1 winners, capping off a successful international break for our young striker.
Meanwhile, Jack Nolan was out representing England’s Under-17s in a pair of friendly fixtures against Brazil – both matches played at the Pinitar Arena in Murcia, Spain.
After being defeated 1-0 in their first outing on Friday, the England youngsters gained a 1-1 draw in their second meeting against the Seleção on Monday.
