Each year, hundreds of football fans make the pilgrimage from London to the Amsterdam ArenA by bike as a fundraiser for the EFL's partner charity Prostate Cancer UK.
And this year’s 145-mile trek across to the Dutch capital will include four Reading FC employees, who are close to reaching their fundraising target – your contribution could help push over their goal-line!
Graham Griffin, Richard Dorman, Leigh Morgan and Tom Law will be setting out early on Friday morning from the Lee Valley VeloPark at the Olympic Park in London, cycling an undulating 80 miles to Harwich on their first day.
And after sailing overnight to the Hook of Holland, it’s another early start on day two for the final 65 miles – unsurprisingly a bit of a flatter course up the Dutch coast and inland to Amsterdam, where the home of AFC Ajax will be a welcome sight for tired legs on Saturday afternoon!
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in the UK, and it kills one man every 45 minutes. Your kind donations will be helping researching and combatting one of the most common killers in the UK.
They have set a collective fundraising target of £4,000, and with a few days left to go they have almost made it… so your support would be very welcome!
