Moments That Matter | Season Tickets 2018-19

Play your part and help us celebrate 20 years of football in RG2

14 May 2018

On 22nd August 1998, Madejski Stadium opened its doors. And this season we want to mark the anniversary of our move from Elm Park by celebrating 20 years of football in RG2 with a successful campaign at Reading Football Club… a peak in the Reading Football Club rollercoaster we have all been riding over the last two decades.

Family flexibility means substantial savings for 2018-19

14 May 2018

And, while revelling in memories of the greatest goals, the last gasp winners, the biggest wins and the most magnificent achievements in the history of Madejski Stadium, we also want you to be here for more ‘Moments That Matter’.

With determination and drive, a full summer of preparation and hard work behind the scenes and your continued and invaluable support in 2018-19, one poor campaign can so easily be followed by a season not to be missed.

Now our Championship status has been secured, we are NOW ON SALE with Season Tickets for 2018-19!

If the last 20 years tells us anything, it’s that you can never predict what memories might be waiting to be made just around the corner.

In May 2005, for example, we watched our hosts celebrate promotion on the final day of the Championship season… and the players took it all in as champagne corks were popped at Wigan, fully appreciating what have might been and what could be in the future. The following year… we used that experience as inspiration and won the title with a record-breaking points tally.

So our final day draw at the Cardiff City Stadium not only edged us over the line and saw us scrap our way to safety, but the Bluebirds’ celebrations will have offered up added motivation to put it right in 2018-19. And, with your help, we can put it right.

The price freeze
At Reading Football Club, we continue to offer some of the most competitive ticket pricing in the country. And Season Ticket prices for 2018-19 have been frozen or reduced in every section of Madejski Stadium.

Season Tickets will always be the most cost-friendly way to commit to all 23 of our Sky Bet Championship fixtures – regardless of any ticket promotions or incentives run throughout the 2018-19 season!

And Adult tickets can be renewed for just £305 or purchased brand new at an average rate of as little as £15 per game!

Concession renewal prices begin at £215 for ages 65 & Over and just £130 for those aged 18-24 and, if you fall in the 17 & Under age bracket, your Season Ticket for 2018-19 will cost you as little as £59.

You have until 5pm on Monday 2nd July to renew your Season Ticket and reserve your seat, so renew early and don't miss out!

The fans of the future

Attracting the fans of tomorrow to the club remains paramount to our pricing structure, so we have introduced a brand new ’12 & Under’ age category for this season.

Sit in the Family Area of the Eamonn Dolan Stand and that Season Ticket price for those aged 12 & Under more than halves to an incredible £23 for the whole season… an average of £1 per game.

£1 per game!

Alongside that, we will continue to offer FREE Season Tickets to all supporters aged 7 & Under (when purchased with a non-child Season Ticket).

And, as previously mentioned, our Season Ticket prices once again offer fantastic value for fans aged 18-24, who with their Season Ticket will be able to watch all 23 league matches for an average of just £5.65 per match in the Eamonn Dolan Stand next season, while anyone aged 17 & Under will pay just £3.87 per game!

Your Royal Family
Earlier this year, Reading Football Club were announced as the EFL Championship Family Club of the Year.

But we won’t rest on our laurels.

Via our pricing strategy for Season Tickets in 2018-19, family ticket prices have become more affordable and a lot more flexible for next season.

Last season, a family ticket was sold through a ticket bundle discount package, allowing pre-set combinations of adults and children to make one specific saving on their Season Tickets.

In 2018-19, families can sit in the Family Area within the Eamonn Dolan Stand to receive the lowest prices in the stadium!

The discounted rate will be applied to each individual’s ticket – and the money saved on discounted Adult and Child Season Tickets in that section will mean families, whatever the size or age, will be sitting together for the whole season and could be paying up to £102 less than they did in 2017-18!

Want to be a South Stander?
At Reading Football Club, we actively meet with supporters on a regular basis and openly encourage and embrace ideas from all corners which might help us, as a club, provide a better matchday experience for you, our supporters.

Atmosphere is often on the agenda and a number of supporters, who have played a positive part in recent fan engagement panels held by the club, proposed grouping together a number of like-minded supporters, intent on singing their hearts out in unequivocal support of the manager and his players, behind the goal in the South Stand.

We helped to make it happen for our final three home games of the campaign and it had a positive impact. So we are in discussions with that same group of supporters about how we can make the Madejski as loud as possible by potentially positioning some of our singing supporters in a dedicated area on a more permanent basis.

While these discussions are ongoing, all supporters who may theoretically contemplate relocating their Season Ticket to a designated singing section, should simply renew or purchase their Season Ticket as normal – in the Upper West, Lower West, East or Eamonn Dolan Stand at the stadium.

Then, should we subsequently be in a position to announce details of how this section would work, the club will then happily assist any supporters who would wish to relocate their seat ahead of the start of the 2018-19 campaign.
