Ghana are not bound for Russia this summer, but Andy Yiadom - set to become Reading's newest acquisition at the start of July - played a full part in his country's 2-0 friendly win over Japan yesterday.
Yiadom was born in England to Ghanaian parents and he only made his Black Stars debut last year in a 1–0 defeat to Egypt.
Andy will come up against Jon Dadi Bodvarsson's Iceland next in another World Cup warm-up game for their opponents - taking on his future Reading teammate on Thursday 7th June.
These friendlies come ahead of Ghana's next competitive fixture, a September's clash with Kenya in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
