The Royals striker wore the #9 shirt and scored another goal for his country, alongside being regularly among the scorers for our Under-23s this term.

On Wednesday morning, the Young Lions - many of whom won the U17 World Cup with England last year - started their European U19 Championship qualifying campaign with a comfortable 4-0 win over Moldova in Turkey.

Among Loader's team-mates were players who have also made their senior debuts with their respective clubs - including Arsenal's Emile Smith-Rowe, Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolves, among others.

Conor Gallagher opened the scoring for England midway through the first half, giving the youngsters the lead heading in at half-time.

With Moldova appearing tricky to break down, the floodgates opened after young Royal, Loader fired in after 65 minutes for England, capitalising in the box after their opponents failed to clear their lines defensively.

Substitute Bukayo Saka scored a third five minutes from time for England, before Fulham's Steven Sessegnon rounded off a comfortable win in stoppage time with a well-taken long-range effort to give England the perfect start in their group.

This was the first of a trio of qualifying matches for Loader and England over this international break, facing their Iceland counterparts next on Saturday morning (9am GMT) before finishing the current run of fixtures against Turkey on Tuesday 20th November.

This is the initial qualifying phase for the Euro U19 Championships, with these three round-robin matches in November deciding who goes through to the Elite Round of qualifying - with the top two going through at this stage.

The remaining 28 teams are then drawn into seven groups of four in the Elite Round qualifying, with three further round-robin matches taking place and the subsequent group winners qualifying for the tournament in Armenia next July.

England U19: Bursik, Lamptey, Sessegnon, McEachran, Guehi (Eyoma 85), Panzo, Smith-Rowe (Poveda-Ocampo 70), Gallagher, Loader (Walker 82), Gibbs-White (Saka 82), Hudson-Odoi (Kirby 70).
Subs: Anderson, Aarons, Harper.
Goals: Gallagher 24, Loader 65, Saka 85, Sessegnon 90+7.
