Three goals. Three points. Bristol City were undone by Kelly Chambers' side on Sunday in similar fashion to the first team success less than 24 hours earlier - although our Women were more comfortable in sealing their victory.
After a commendable second half performance that earned our Women a valuable against a strong Manchester City team last weekend, Kelly Chambers' side were back at home and taking the spoils against Bristol City in the FA WSL.
The visitors went into the game with the same form as the Royals - two wins, two draws and two defeats recorded for both sides before kick-off.
But Reading started with intensity and Bristol City goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley was forced into two early stops; the first was a routine catch from Lauren Bruton's shot before Brooke Chaplen was played through moments later but was also denied by the onrushing Baggaley.
Chaplen then teed up Fara Williams on the edge of the area 10 minutes in, but Baggaley was equal to the shot, diving to her left to smother it.
Goals have been fairly hard to come by at late for Reading, but the deadlock was broken just after the half hour mark through another trademark Williams strike. Having collected a throw-in at her feet, she turned smartly before curling an effort into the far top corner.
Five minutes into the second half and Reading's lead was doubled through Williams again. Natasha Harding collected a superb cross-field pass before picking out Williams in the centre with a measured cross. Williams then dispatched first-time with a controlled volley which flew past Baggaley.
Chaplen added a third 15 minutes later having turned well inside the penalty box and finishing past Baggaley, who was unable to keep it out despite getting a touch.
It could have been more as Bruton fired over eight minutes from time - while at the other end Moloney watched Ella Rutherford's strike from distance sail past her post.
Agonisingly, Bruton came close to adding a fourth in stoppage time - Baggaley denied her with a save at the near post. The resulting corner was eventually poked home by Bruton but from an offside position and the goal was ruled out.
But 3-0 and Reading FC Women had earned a deserved victory at Adams Park.
"It's nice to come back home and put on a performance for the fans today. Nice clean sheet, three goals. "We knew it was going to be frustrating at times and we knew we had to be patient. But it was a great way to build on our result against Man City," said Chambers.
"It's always nice to get on the scoresheet. But the most important thing for us is that we bounced back from the Arsenal result two weeks ago. We're building and want a good run now," added Williams.
