Ahead of the game | Aiming to beat the Blues

A preview of our midweek trip to St Andrew’s

22 October 2018

Getting the better of Birmingham… not many sides have done that this season. Our win in the Carabao Cup back in August was one of just three defeats for the Blues so far this season – they’ve been a tricky team to beat.

It’s a ground where we’ve had some joy in recent seasons – wins without conceding on each of our last two trips.  But Garry Monk’s side are unbeaten at home since their stadium was renamed the St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium in the summer.

A win in the Midlands for the Blues against Rotherham before the international break was followed up with an away victory at Stoke on Saturday… they’re aiming to make it a whopping 10 games without defeat in midweek!

So there’s no denying, we’re going to need a top performance if we want to make it back-to-back wins on Tuesday evening.
