Ahead of the game | At Liberty in South Wales

Preview of our visit to Swansea City

26 October 2018

This weekend, for the first time since New Year’s Day 2011, the Royals travel to the Liberty Stadium to meet Swansea City in the Sky Bet Championship.

We have been there for a Premier League game since then, of course!  Both of our wins at Swansea’s current home, having moved there from Vetch Field in 2005, have come in cup competitions.

Under the stewardship of Graham Potter – briefly a Royals loanee back in 1999 – the South Wales side have made a decent start to the new season since getting relegated from the Premier League last term.  They had a bit of a wobble recently with consecutive losses to Ipswich and Aston Villa, but got back on track in midweek with a home win over Blackburn Rovers.

But they have been beatable in South Wales so far this season – and we’ll be aiming to bring all three points back to Berkshire.

Tickets are only available to buy up until 12pm on Friday from our Ticket Office.  There will be no on-the-day sales at Swansea for Reading supporters.
