The Royals put in a superb first half peformance to take a lead into half time and it could have been more than the one goal.

But West Brom score goals for fun and, getting level so early in the second half, capitalised on the shift in momentum to claim a comfortable victory in the end.

SAVE! Walker is down low to his left to palm a Rodriguez effort around his post.

Three minutes of added time time to be played.

Ezatolahi drives forward and into the box, but his is toppled. No penalty though.

Tosin Adarbioyo is on for Barnes as this game plays out the final moments.

Moore goes into the book as he cuts up Edwards, breaking at pace through the midfield.

Bacuna is off an Liam Kelly is brought on for the final 10 minutes.

Kyle Bartley may not have been credited for WBA's second, but he has his goal now.

A headed finish that sailed inside the left upright from a floated corner. All over.

A change by Paul Clement - Gunter is off and Josh Sims comes onto the pitch.

And a second sub. Mo Barrow is introduced for Marc McNulty.

Brunt hooks a volley towards goal, but it deflects off a Reading defender and skids wide.

And West Brom have a well-worked third.

Breaking through Barnes, he collects a one-two and drives low across Walker and into the bottom left corner.

Livermore makes way for Brunt as Albion make a change before the game can restart.

GOAL! The home side have the lead.

A corner on the right is delivered into the box where Kyle Bartley rises highest and sends a downward header bouncing high past Walker and into the roof of the net. Gayle may have got a subtle flick to help it over the line.

CHANCE! Gunter and Bacuna exchange passes on the rightr and Gunter cuts a low cross into the West Brom box.

Swift is unmarked and, no the turn, arrows a half-volley over the crossbar.

Mears makes way for Kyle Edwards as Darren Moore makes the first change of the game.

A tantalising inswinging cross from the left is angled into the Royals' box but Moore does very well to glance it beyond everyone and behind for a corner.

Tiago Ilori goes into the book for tapping the ball away aftwer West Brom win a free kick.

A lovely ball over the top of the Baggies' back line and Swift is running onto it, in behind.

Sam Johnstone comes off his line and does enough to force Swift wide and sheild the ball behind for a goal kick. Half a chance though.

A booking now for Gareth Barry who tugs on the shirt of Bacuna after the midfielder had escaped his attentions.

John Swift is booked as he clips some heels as the hosts look to break away from inside their own half.

West Brom are level. A floated cross from the right sails over Walker and Gayle ghosts in at the back post to nod home.

Back underway here at The Hawthorns, the Royals kicking from right to left as we look.

HALF-TIME: West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Reading

So far, so good. Leandro Bacuna's early strike is the difference at the break, 45 minutes left in this one at The Hawthorns!

One added minute to play.

Cheeky attempt from Ezatolahi as he spots Johnstone well off his line, taking a pot-shot from the halfway line!

It doesn't have the accuracy required, though, and it bobbles wide.

First card of the game goes to Craig Dawon, who cynically brings down Yiadom in midfield.

Some lovely passing from the Royals sees McNulty look to play himself in with a touch away from his marker.

He tries to run onto it but a mix-up with the offside Yiadom sees the flag go up against the full-back.

McNulty puts pressure on a backpass from West Brom, Johnstone scuffs his clearance into the path of Yiadom.

He finds space in the D but his attempted strike is put behind for a corner.

West Brom continuing their quest for an equaliser before half-time, but the Royals are matching the high-flyers so far here at The Hawthorns.

1-0 to Paul Clement's side as it stands.

Bacuna spots Yiadom in acres on the left, who powers in on goal, tries to trick the goalkeeper by shooting at the near post - but Johnstone reads it well to parry behind.

Half an hour on the clock here at The Hawthorns, Reading still leading through Bacuna's strike after 6 minutes.

All to play for here!

Bacuna swings in a corner, Méïté flicks it on to Blackett in space at the far post.

He fires one powerfully but it just clears the bar. Royals looking threatening up front so far in the first half.

Barnes picks it up on the edge of the box for West Brom, cuts away with one touch and fires past the post - but Walker may have had it covered regardless.

Almost a first league goal for McNulty!

Bacuna beats Barry in a foot race to a loose ball in midfield, then slides in McNulty. He shrugs off his marker to bear down on goal, he beats Johnstone with a cross-goal effort but it trickles agonisingly past the post.

West Brom are on top as it stands.

They're seeing more of the ball and trying to get through the Reading defence.

The ball breaks, though, with McNulty finding a gap and playing in Méïté, who scuffs a shot from 20 yards out into the gloves of Johnstone.

Best chance of the half so far for the hosts.

Rodriguez finds Barnes on the left of the box. He strokes an effort towards the far post. It clips the post and goes behind for a goal-kick.

Another effort on target for the Royals.

Swift and Bacuna combine in midfield, with the latter putting in a teasing cross for Méïté - who gets in front of it and angles a header at goal, but Johnstone gets behind it to save.

Yakou Méïté gets the better of Mears on the left flank, turning away and getting forward onto a high ball.

He angles a ball low towards McNulty - but Hegazi gets over to clear for the Baggies.

Reading have another corner on the near side, played short to Swift who angles a low ball into Ezatolahi in the box.

He gets under it, though, and his first-time effort clears the bar.

Leandro Bacuna opens the scoring for the Royals!

The resulting corner is taken short, with Bacuna opening up and driving a fantastic strike across goal, in off the right-hand post and gives Reading the lead!

Good strike!

The Royals work the ball around the edge of the West Brom area, with Saeid Ezatolahi turning into space and powering at goal, forcing a save from Sam Johnstone.

A free-kick comes in from Gareth Barry for the Baggies, the Royals clear their lines comfortably on this occasion.

Early effort for the hosts.

Jake Livermore hangs up a cross to the far post, Jay Rodriguez gets a head on it but diverts it wide.

Here we go then!

The Royals are wearing their black change strip today, with West Brom in their traditional black and white stripes.
