Isaac Puddle attends our Community Trust soccer schools in Henwick and has mild cerebral palsy.
In attending our soccer schools, our Trust coaches have been able to speak directly to Isaac and his parents about disability football in the area and the player pathway available to him, giving him information about his nearest inclusive football club and recommending Isaac to the disability talent hub in the local area.
He has since been invited to join the hub where England scouts will monitor his progress with a view to helping develop his skills and potentially going on to play for the England CP team.
Isaac, a Royals fan, has recently been watching England’s CP team progress in the European Championships taking place in Holland, and he has been inspired by our Trust coaches since meeting them.
Isaac was a guest of our Trust and the team’s official matchday mascot on Saturday, bringing us the luck we needed to pick up a vital victory against Millwall.
He walked out of the tunnel alongside skipper for the afternoon, Liam Moore, and had photos taken with most of the squad as well as enjoying the opportunity to warm-up with the first team on the hallowed turf before kick off.
