Last Saturday evening, following the conclusion of a Premier League match at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium, a helicopter crashed in the stadium's car park moments after taking off.
The helicopter was carrying Leicester City's owner and Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, two members of his staff and two pilots. All those on board tragically lost their lives.
This weekend, as part of the football family, Reading Football Club will invite Royals and Robins to stand together, united in remembering the victims of the crash and all those affected by the tragedy.
Both Reading and Bristol City players will wear black armbands in respect to those who lost their lives as well as their families, friends and all others affected - including everybody associated with Leicester City Football Club.
And we invite all supporters at Madejski Stadium to pay their respects on Saturday with a period of silence which will begin and end on the referee's whistle before kick-off.
Our sincere condolences and deepest sympathies are naturally with all connected with Leicester City Football Club at this difficult time.
