Reading have been drawn away against Bracknell Town in the Second Round of this year’s Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup.
It’ll be a short trip for our boys; the fixture will take place at Larges Lane on Tuesday 30th October, kicking off at 7.30pm.
The Royals – who will be represented by our Under-23 squad in the competition – received a bye in the First Round. Bracknell, meanwhile, defeated Aylesbury Town 4-2 away from home at the first stage.
Any fixtures played by the Royals in this year’s competition will be played away from home. And if the scores are level at the final whistle, it goes straight to extra-time and potentially penalties to decide the ties on the night.
It’s the first time since 2002 that Reading have been represented in the competition… and it’s a long-standing cup with a lot of history for our club. In fact, we were the very first winners of the competition back in 1878!
The Second Round draw is as follows…
Ascot United vs Marlow or Didcot Town
Bracknell Town vs Reading
Chalfont St Peter vs Slough Town
Holmer Green vs Maidenhead United
Hungerford Town vs Beaconsfield Town
Shrivenham vs Aylesbury United
Wantage Town or Binfield vs MK Dons
Windsor vs Flackwell Heath
Tickets will be priced at £5 for Adults, £3 for Concessions and free for Under-16s.
